Mmmmmm.... Coffee and Friends...This is Living!

This is a card I made for my personal challenge to myself today. The challenge was to use these stickers I have and find paper to match them. I came up with SU's Orchid Opulence and a Paper Pad called Blue Raspberry with this purple, aqua, and brown. I like the way it turned out. The inside says... "My Friends, My Coffee... This is Living!" It has the purple and brown on the words. I also paper-pieced the capris to match the background paper. The rest is done with SU Tempting Turquoise, Orchid Opulence, Close to Cocoa, and Creamy Caramel markers and watercolor pencils. Have a Great Day!

Late Valentine's Day Post....

These little Tic-Tac holders I made were for my kids' preschool teachers, assistants, and office workers. One of our twins, Paige, has special needs and the school and everyone involved in her care have been absolutely wonderful and gone above and beyond in helping not only Paige, but our whole family with any and all educational issues and in helping to make our lives easier and more manageable! I made the Tic-Tac holders at stamp class and thought they were just so cute and were so quick and easy to make! I just wanted to show them all how much we appreciate and are thankful for them and all they do! We live in an awesome school district!

A Wild West Thank You!

This is a thank you card I made today for a wonderful couple that our family knows. Since our twins have been born, they have been so supportive and helpful to all of us! A week or so ago, the husband came over in a pinch all by himself to watch my three kids for me! He brought his grandson, who is Parker's age and they know each other. But I thought it so tremendous for the man to go extra mile for me and even change diapers! I also made a batch of chocolate chip cookes to be delivered to him tomorrow with the card. Don't you just love these little penguins?? This is part of a new set released from The Cat's Pajamas. I could not wait to ink them up and play with them a bit!

It's been a while since I've posted. We've all had multiple viral illnesses and life just got in the way a bit. Hope to be back on track now!

Happy Fat Tuesday (on Wednesday...)

I had this idea in my mind for this card and it just didn't quite pan out, ever had one of those days? The more I worked on it, the less I liked it. I thought I'd share anyway because I love MARDI GRAS and carnival season! My DH was in the Marine Corps stationed in New Orleans for 3 years. This was before we had our kidlets and we really enjoyed our time there, especially carnival season! The parades were just fantastic! The people great and the food so awesome! It was just so cool to see this whole city come alive and get into the spirit! I don't know if any of you know this, but Mardi Gras Day (a/k/a Fat Tuesday) is actually a holiday in New Orleans. The whole city shuts down to celebrate this! I worked at a law firm and was amazed that we got a paid day off each year to celebrate and party!! Reminiscing, I really miss our time there, we had such good times with our military friends and local friends too! So thanks for bearing with me today!
Bella has purple stickles on her top and chalked pants. She also has CE on her sexy red toes and the cherry on her drink! I also used purple, yellow, and green rhinestone gem brads (Mardi Gras colors). Then I used my cuttlebug for the purple and green layer. Then stickers for the rest. I had to include the Bourbon street sign, as that is where we spent a lot of our time! LOL

She's Having a Baby

My dear friend, Jill, is pregnant with her 3rd baby and just had a birthday. So I thought as a birthday gift, I'd give her a basket of goodies to pamper herself and/or help with throughout the pregnancy. So I altered this journal using Pregabella and then made a bookmark to match using the same stamp. Also in the basket I put some of those big, fuzzy, warm socks, Tylenol, Tums, foot and leg massaging lotion, lotion for stretchmarks, and her favorite, CHOCOLATE!!! This is the first time she's been pregnant since I've known her, so I figure I can treat her like it's the first!

We Made It! We're 2!!

It was my twins' 2nd birthday yesterday. Whew, I can hardly believe it's been that long already! I had a busy day with Parker who helped to make and decorate the birthday cake, helped wrapped presents and made cards for the girls! We had a quiet dinner at home with our family. The girls are starting to understand opening presents, Mackenzie is much more willing to just rip that paper off! They enjoyed the cake and ice cream and then playing with their new toys and books!

Viking Bella Babe

I created this card today using PMSbella for the February Bella Babe contest. We were supposed to make any Bella using our favorite football team's colors or the colors from one of the Superbowl teams. I'm a huge football fan and knew right away that this Bella would be perfect, her sitting in front of the TV with all her snacks, ready for a Sunday packed with football!!!
I made her tank top into a turtleneck and colored it with purple stickles. The Viking logo is up on dimensionals and the football is a textured sticker.
